It was revealing in a feature within issue 8 of the Official F1 Magazine that David Johnson had been commissioned to create a palette knife painting of each 2020 F1 team’s car. This also focuses on some of David’s career highlights and passion for the sport.
The paintings are to feature as limited edition covers for issue 10 of the magazine.
Giclee prints of these are available and limited to just 100 for each design.
It is a great honour that Mario Andretti recently signed a run of limited edition giclee prints at his home in Nazareth, USA. The print celebrates his and the Lotus Team’s 1978World Championship winning season.

At this year's Silverstone Classic David Johnson held an exhibition in the BRDC alongside live-painting.
This saw a range of new to print editions and near-sell-out classics. Throughout the event David was working to completion a painting of Lewis Hamilton for Toto Wolf.
"It was such a joy to have my artwork on display within such a prestigious buidling that I have looked over many times as a fan at the British Grand Prix and captured on canvas over the year's.
On the week of the British Grand Prix David Johnson was back at the Grand Prix Ball live painting alongside the red carpet. Here he was also interviewed for the Finnish F1 Channel for a TV feature.
On the night the original palette knife painting created of Michael Schumacher was auctioned off with all proceeds going to the Pince's Trust.
Located in the Becketts Street Zone over the British Grand Prix David held his largest art exhibition to date, with 24 framed works on display. Alongside this he was also live painting a canvas for Toto Wolf of Lewis Hamilton from his 2019 Monaco Grand Prix featuring the Niki Lauda Halo tribute. David was also on hand to sign fliyers and have a chat.

On the Saturday of Qualifying at Stowe School, a Mercedes event hosted the work of David Johnson's Mercedes F1 creations with David live painting in the evening.
During the British Grand Prix weekend 2007 Champion Kimi Raikkonen signed a limited run of giclee prints.

Four times World Superbike Champion Carl Fogarty added his name to Formula Art's prestigious Driver Signed Editions. Carl took the time at his home to sign limited runs of the new giclee, sketch print and embellished canvases.
The original is now proudly displayed in the Fogarty household, which David Johnson was honoured to hand over to the motorbike legend.
On Thursday 22nd November 2018 an exhibition featuring David Johnson's latest work was on display at the Carl Fogarty live Q&A in Resort World's Sports Bar.
Carl Fogarty, the most successful Superbike Champion of all time. He was also crowned ‘King of the Jungle’ in ITV’s I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here in 2014.
The event also saw David Johnson live paint alongside Carl and his newly launched CCM motorcycle
This year marks the 4th year that the Royal Automobile Club has staged the Art of Motoring exhibition. Selected to feature within this year's selection is the artwork of David Johnson.
This forms part of the London Motor Week events calendar which draws in members from accross the country and internationally.
The exhibition will take place from Monday 29th October 2018 to Saturday 4th November 2018.
